I am a social worker in New York City and most of my clients have been women and children, so I see firsthand the impact that financial assistance, education and healthcare make. I also have worked with many persons affected by human trafficking and exploitation and the only way to combat this is with resources to allow the victims to reclaim their lives. I proudly support SparkLife International due to their steadfast commitment to addressing the pressing issue of inaccessibility to sanitary pads among young girls in Ghana. Their initiative involves providing these essential products to junior and senior high school students, alleviating immediate challenges and allowing these girls to manage their menstrual hygiene with dignity. The unavailability and unaffordability of sanitary products for young girls in Ghana are critical obstacles that hinder their education and well-being. While this initiative offers temporary relief, it serves as a vital step towards empowering these girls and enabling them to focus on their studies without the burden of inadequate menstrual supplies. My decision to support SparkLife International stems from a desire to contribute to the solution. I firmly believe that everyone deserves access to basic necessities, including menstrual hygiene products, without being burdened by excessive taxes. The imposition of luxury taxes on these essential items is unjustifiable, as menstruation is a natural occurrence beyond one's control. I fervently hope that SparkLife International continues to receive the necessary support and funds to sustain their commendable work. Together, we can advocate for policy changes, such as reducing or eliminating taxes on women's sanitary products, ultimately making these items more accessible and affordable for every girl, irrespective of their economic background.

I’ve supported Sparklife because of the genuine love, concern, compassion and commitment shown for the less fortunate, as well as the transparency in all that has been achieved. Destiny has been an inspiration on this journey. He had a dream that was not the easiest to bring to reality. In spite of hurdles in his path , he never gave up. Even though it was a huge undertaking with close to nothing to start, he knew in his heart that it could be done. Today, we see the need in the different Communities he’s been serving and what a worthy and rewarding cause this is.
